HIT BY TRUCK AND LEFT FOR DEAD - (HOPE'S STORY) August 30, 2016 18:14

Hope was a stray stuck on the side of a highway.  Vehicles traveling between 55-75 mph raced by her.  Until a SUV doing about 70 mph hit her, they never touched their breaks or came back to check on the dog.  Multiple vehicles following just drove around the badly injured dog leaving her in the road for dead.

A bystander ran into the road picking up the pup and rushing her to a vet.  With a broken leg, broken ribs, and deep lacerations the hospital wanted to put the pup down but said she could thrive if saved.  Unfortunately the vet isn't in the business of fostering pups.  The pup saving hero decided to take on the vet bill of $5,200.  Thanks to the amazing surgeon waiving her pay the bill is now $4,100.

Would love nothing more than to help save the pup and help out someone who took on this bill, not knowing if the owner wants the pup or willing to help out afterwards.  Lets give back to this selfless act of kindness. 

UPDATE #1

The surgery was perfect!  Back left leg was amputated and wounds were closed.  She is resting and will stay at the hospital for a week.  

UPDATE #2 

We've been to visit this sweet girl a few times and she is doing great!  She is already walking to the bathroom on her own!  Owner has not been located yet so a temporary name has been given...Hope.  

UPDATE #3 

It has been a month now and still no owner so Hope is at her new home doing great!  She is a cuddle bug and loves her four legged sister.  I'm starting to think she has no idea she is missing a leg.  She runs, jumps, and even gets her nubby going to try and scratch herself.

UPDATE #4 

Thank you so much for everyone that donated money.  Medical bills are paid off and we have an amazing addition to the family.  I'm overwhelmed at how giving people are and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
